Jason Taylor might perform his sack dance with the Miami Dolphins this season after all. The defensive end and star of "Dancing With the Stars" was the subject of trade speculation throughout the weekend. Going Big Again
This perception that Bill Parcells likes big, physical players, it's sure proving true in this draft. Trade Talk
If you believed what several Internet reports were suggesting Sunday night, the biggest story of the draft would have been the trade of Jason Taylor to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but by the end of the day the Dolphins had consummated only one trade and it had nothing to do with the Pro Bowl defensive end. GM Jeff Ireland talked about Taylor and the one deal that was done. [Link]
Dolphins add Henne to QB mix
EDS: UPDATES with Ireland quotes. With the NFL draft barely under way Saturday, Miami Dolphins-bound No. 1 overall pick Jake Long brightened at the suggestion he might be joined in South Florida by his former Michigan teammate, quarterback Chad Henne. "Whatever team drafts Chad is going to get a great player," Long said. Hours later, they were reunited when the Dolphins used a second-round pick to take Henne. [Link]
High on Henne
The Dolphins' decision to go big with the 32nd overall pick couldn't have worked out better in the end, with Chad Henne falling all the way to 57. That time, Miami wasn't going to pass up on him a second time. While some might argue against drafting a quarterback in the second round for the second consecutive year, this move certainly will help the Dolphins' odds of solving their QB situation. [Link]
