A ribbon-cutting ceremony Saturday marked the opening of the $4 million renovated wings at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. McGinest played 12 seasons and won three Super Bowls with the New England Patriots. He signed a three-year, $12 million contract with the Browns in 2006. In two seasons with Cleveland, McGinest hasn't been the pass-rushing threat that he was with the Patriots. He has seven sacks and 107 tackles in 27 games for the Browns. [Link]

The Browns have signed general manger Phil Savage to a three-year contract extension through the 2012 season. Savage, whose new deal was announced Friday, has spent the last three seasons overhauling the Browns roster through draft-day trades and free agent acquisitions. He was hired in 2005 to rebuild a team that had made the playoffs only once since returning to the NFL in 1999. Although they missed the playoffs last season, the Browns finished 10-6 and had one of the NFL's top offenses. [Link]
