After another close victory for the 12-0 New England Patriots which included some questionable penalties, the conspiracy theories are in full swing. The latest theory suggests that the NFL would like for the Patriots to enter the last game of the season against the New York Giants, undefeated because the game will be shown on the NFL Network. The NFL caused somewhat of an uproar because of the limited viewing audience for the Packers vs. Cowboys game, this potential historical game would probably push even more NFL fans over the edge. The only question is whether this will push more toward the NFL or against he NFL.
Regarding last night’s game, I am still in the camp that the Patriots will lose a game, but they are quickly swaying this belief. I, like most, believe there were some questionable calls, but come on people, the true reason for the Baltimore Ravens loss is a tremendous lack of discipline. I don’t like the holding call that basically gave the Patriots new life, but what about Boller’s bonehead interception, the Rex Ryan timeout call, etc. Would I like to see the Patriots lose? Maybe, but I don’t think you should make this out to be bigger than what it is….a football game in which the better team won.
