The Wacky College Football Season Gets Wackier

Filed under: College — Drew @ 1:50 am

As you know, the #1 Missouri Tigers and #2 West Virginia Mountaineers both lost tonight. That leaves two mediocre 1 loss teams in the Top 10 and a bunch of 2 loss teams. After watching this season unfold, there is no reasonable argument that can be made to justify not having a playoff system in the former Division 1A. On any given day, I believe any team in the Top 10 can beat the other, so a single game between the two teams that the “computers” pick will not truly give us a National Champion for this season. Only a string of wins amongst Top 10 competition, would truly determine the best team in the land. Maybe one day someone will see the light.

FYI, I would like to see LSU play Oklahoma.
