Quarterback:
- Brett Favre - The Giants poor excuse for a secondary allowed Tony Romo to throw 4 TD passes. The ole man still has something left in the tank. While all the preseason talk has been about the up and coming 49ers, if this Packers team can develop a consistent rushing attack, they will be a force this season.
- Kyle Boller - Kyle did everything possible to win the game against the Bengals. If Todd Heap didn’t drop that TD pass, Boller would have been deemed a Hero. Tom Brady was able to pick apart the Jets secondary and faced little or no pressure. Sure the Ravens offense isn’t as high powered as the Patriots, but if you are in a pinch, Boller’s your guy.
Running Backs:
- Deuce McAllister - Wow, the Saints had an extremely disappointing opening game against the Colts. They will come out and look to destroy the Bucs. Shaun Alexander was able to have a very good game against the Bucs defense. McAllister should get a few goalline carries this week as the Saints look to run up the score.
- Maurice Jones-Drew - The1-2 punch of Adrian Peterson and Chester Taylor is no match against the Jags 1-2 punch. The Falcons didn’t have a chance against the Vikings running game, against the Jags, they should fair even worse.
Wide Receivers:
- Donald Driver/James Jones - I am expecting a big game for the Packers passing attack. Driver and Jones will be the beneficiaries.
- Chris Chambers - I guess Chambers hadn’t lost a step last year, he just didn’t have a Quarterback. Against a sold Redskins defense, Trent Green was able to make Chambers a factor. After Burress had a Hall of Famer like game against The Boys last week, I expect Chambers to at least get into the end zone.
- Lee Evans - 5 Yards. Maybe that Champ Bailey, Dre Bly duo is even better than I had anticipated. Look for Evans to bounce back this week. It will be a lot easier for him to get by the Steelers DBs.
Defense
- Jags - They’re playing against Joey Harrington. Is there any need for further explanation?
Leave These Guys on The Pine:
- Philip Rivers - I really don’t like him as a fantasy QB and anytime a QB has a game which his RB has more TDs, they doesn’t hurt my argument. He was horrible against the Patriots in last year’s playoffs. He may not be as bad, but he won’t be much better.
- Ronnie Brown - Is it too early too deem him a fantasy bust?
- Ronald Curry - He is playing against Champ and Bly. Ask Lee Evans how long Curry’s day will be.
